- Discover: Take the 7-week Foundations Class to help you discover and establish firm foundations in your faith as you follow Jesus. We will cover topics such as What is a Christian, How to Study the Bible, Spiritual Disciplines, Living by Faith, and Sharing the Gospel. We offer this course twice a year at 9:00am during our Equipping Hour. (Re)Discover what it means to know and follow Jesus!
- Deepen: Join a Discipleship Group of 2-3 same-gendered people who will commit to meeting regularly together for an hour to read and discuss God’s Word, share authentically and openly, and pray. These groups exist to help you develop and mature as you follow Jesus. The Word of God is foundational to every group, as it alone has the power to transform your life and set you on mission with the gospel as Christ works in you.
- Develop: The HVBC Development Program is a 2-semester study designed to grow one’s knowledge of God and His Word, a love for the gospel, and faithfulness in following the teachings and commands of Jesus. With an aim toward ‘living out’ right theology, the curriculum and structure of the course will focus on three core competencies for each student: Sound Doctrine, Knowledge of God’s Word, and Christian Formation.
- Deploy: Get trained for your next step in ministry. Is the Lord calling you to be a Deacon, Elder, Missionary, Church Planter, or serve in some other vocational role? That call to serve is a call to prepare and the local church is God’s plan to equip those He has called. Join us for a 1- or 2-year Ministry Residency tailored to equip you for your next step in ministry.
