Awana has two main goals: To help students deepen their knowledge of God’s Word and to build relationships with one another as they are discipled through gospel truth. This ministry comes alongside parents by providing an opportunity for kids to memorize Scripture with peers in a fun, engaging environment as well as working toward those goals at home throughout the week.
Awana is for children 3 years old through 6th grade and meets every Wednesday during the school year from 6:30-8:00pm. We follow all of our Sunday morning check-in and check-out procedures as well as volunteer background checks and training to ensure that your children are protected and safe as we help them learn God’s Word. Awana is free for members of HVBC and $40 for all other participants.
Awana grand prix
Join us for the 2026 AWANA Grand Prix. Students will design their own cars using official racing kits to prepare for race day! Prizes will be awarded for speed, design, and more. The entire family is welcome to cheer on their students and friends during each race!

How do I know which verse my child should be learning at home?
Each child will be studying a different verse or section based on their grade and the book they are currently in. Find the pacing guides below for each club and book.
